Cedar Hill Farm Summer Camp 2021

We are excited about this new tradition at Cedar Hill Farm. Our staff will consist of teachers and seasoned Cedar Hill Farm staff members with years of experience in agricultural education and entertainment. Camp is for kids aged 5 to 10 years old.  They can be 4 if they are starting 5K this coming August. Jr. Counselors will be for 10-year-olds that are going into the 4th grade.  They need to be potty trained and not have any severe medical conditions.

We will be dividing the children up based on age into 5 groups: 4yrs – going into 5K Yellow, going into 1st grade Orange, going into 2nd grade Green, going into 3rd grade Blue, 10 years old and/or going into 4th grade can be a Jr. Counselor Red.  The camper-to-staff ratio will be around a 10:1 average, with a higher average for the younger campers than with the older campers.  We will have experienced teachers and teaching assistants supervising the campers.  They will all be together for a lot of the day so please try and help us keep them in their appropriate age group because certain activities are geared for their ages.

DATES & TIMES:

Week 1: June 7th – 11th
Week 2: June 14th –18th
Week 3: June 21st – 25th

$195 plus tax per camper per week

Full price for first child, $20 discount per sibling

Breakfast, lunch/snack meals are available at the farm for an additional fee

Drop Off: 8:00am to 8:30am (Early drop off 7:30am – 8:00am is available for $6 plus tax per day or $25 plus tax for the week)

Pick Up: 3:30pm to 4:00pm (Late pickup from 4:00pm – 4:30pm is available for $6 plus tax per day or $25 plus tax for the week)

ACTIVITIES FOR EACH WEEK:

    • Monday: Seeds & Plants / Gardening 101
    • Tuesday: Berry Picking & Jelly/Jam Making 101
    • Wednesday: Farm Animals & Dairy 101
    • Thursday: Honey Extraction & Pollination 101 (Charles Force, local bee keeper demonstration)
    • Friday: Field Day & Fire Safety (Love Fire Dept.) w/ Water Slide & Fire Hose (wear water clothes & bring a towel)

DINING AT SUMMER CAMP:

You are welcome to bring your own breakfast, lunch, or snack or eat at the farm for an additional fee per meal. If your child has any known food, insect, plant, or animal allergies, or any other medical conditions that we should be aware of please let us know when you fill out your registration form.

Meal Times & Prices:

    • Breakfast 7:30am to 8:30am
      • $6 per day plus tax or $25 per week plus tax
      • If your child does not like eggs we can substitute an extra pancake
    • Lunch 11:30am to 12:30pm
      • $6 per day plus tax or $25 per week plus tax
    • Snack 3:00pm
      • Snack is included in lunch fee

Daily Menu:

    • Monday
        • Breakfast: Pancakes, bacon & farm-fresh scrambled eggs with orange juice or milk
        • Lunch: Fried Chicken Tenders with French fries, drink, and dessert
        • Snack: Lemonade or punch with Chex mix.
    • Tuesday
        • Breakfast: Waffles, bacon & farm-fresh scrambled eggs with orange juice or milk
        • Lunch: All Beef Hot Dog with chips, drink and dessert
        • Snack: Lemonade or punch with orange push pops.
    • Wednesday
        • Breakfast: Biscuit w/ sausage or bacon & farm-fresh scrambled eggs with orange juice or milk
        • Lunch: Cheeseburger with French fries, drink, and dessert
        • Snack: Lemonade or punch with crackers & butter.
    • Thursday
        • Breakfast: Waffles, bacon & farm-fresh scrambled eggs with orange juice or milk
        • Lunch: Grilled Cheese or PB&J with chips, drink, and dessert
        • Snack: Lemonade or punch with Cheetos.
    • Friday
        • Breakfast: Pancakes, bacon & farm-fresh scrambled eggs with orange juice or milk
        • Lunch: Pizza with drink and dessert (gluten free pizza can be made available upon request)
        • Snack: Lemonade or punch with ice cream.

THINGS TO KNOW

If you need to arrange a one-time early drop-off, a late pick-up or add food for a single day please come into the gift store and pay that day.

Each camper will be provided with a camp t-shirt in the color of their age group.  We ask that they wear this shirt or a shirt in the same color each day of camp.  They should also wear closed-toed shoes, no flip-flops or sandals except for on Friday.  If it rains a lot the day before or looks like rain that day boots and a raincoat would be appropriate.  We will have alternative plans under our barns in case of foul weather but appropriate clothing for outdoor activities should be considered for each day as they may have to walk between barns in the rain.  We will have activities each day after lunch for a cool-off and rest period out of the sun.  A hat and sunscreen might be good for sunny days.  Please send a backpack with a change of clothes with your child each day just in case of an accident of any kind. Please put their name on all of their items.  We will provide them with a Cedar Hill Farm water bottle with their name on it for the week. They will leave this at the farm and we will wash and refill them for them each day.  They will take it home with them on Friday.

Each camper will need to be signed in and out each day, please do not drop them off and leave without signing them in.  If a different person is picking your child up then dropped them off, please let our staff know that when you are dropping them off that morning or call the office at 662-429-2540.

Please fill out one form for each camper you would like to register. Also if you are signing up for multiple weeks please be sure to fill out a separate registration form for each week. Once we verify that we have enough room that week we will email you an invoice that you can pay online with a credit card to secure your spot.  Your spot will not be reserved until we have received payment.  Payments are nonrefundable and due upon the time of booking.
