What is the difference between our Free Range Eggs and the ones in the store? There may be a lot. The USDA defines a free range egg as “FREE RANGE or FREE ROAMING: Producers must demonstrate to the Agency that the poultry has been allowed access to the outside.”

This does not specify how long per day a chicken must have access to the outside or even what the outside conditions must be like. We invite you to come down and see our free range chicken set up and see that they are truly free range. We have a 2 acre fenced in field that our hens will be roaming from sun up to sun down each day.

They get the majority of their nutrition from natural foraging. They will be fed natural grains and minerals to fulfill their diet requirements and to keep them healthy. We will not be injecting or feeding our hens any antibiotics or growth hormones.

These chickens and eggs are Cedar Hill Farm certified Free Range and Farm Raised. Our free range eggs are brown medium to large eggs.
